I enjoyed this one. It was fairly low key with lots of time to roam around the area. It was a nice area of rocks and cascades with several different vantage points. Scott gave some good information about the exposure triangle and how to adjust for the conditions we had at the time (ranged from overcast to sunny with lots of shade). He also talked about white balance settings, focus stacking, shutter speeds and filters for long exposures. Good scenery, good discussions and good folks.

I always enjoy these classes and I always walk away with some great insights that I can apply to my photography skills. It pushes me to get outside my confort zone and try things I don't normally pursue.

Very informative. It?s a lot easier for me to understand all the technical ins and outs of a camera when I am shown versus told. So I got more out of this session than I have in hours of watching YouTube videos on photography.

I've been to several of these meet-ups and I think this one was one of the best for me and what I needed/wanted to focus on more. There were some great tips about composition, links for future study and interactive discussions with the group. I enjoyed hearing about what was and wasn't in each person's comfort (or habit) zone and what they wanted to improve on. For me, I took a trip through the mountains the next day and tried to apply as many of these techniques as I could. Some worked and some need work, but I'm looking forward to going out and practicing more.

Another good event! I've been to several of these (portraiture, sunset, falls colors, wildlife) and they're always fun and informative. Scott is a great host and I feel like I've learned quite a bit. I also enjoy the interactions, not just with Scott, with the regulars who I'm getting to know. Looking forward to whatever classes are coming up next!

On a 6 week trip to the West and spent a few nights at Goblin Valley State Park in Southern Utah which so happens to be a certified Dark Sky Park. So one can?t pass up trying to shoot the Milky Way. It just so happened to be the peak of the Lyrids and I was lucky enough to capture one in this shot.

I captured this image in Yellowstone National Park, along the stretch between Blacktail Pond and Tower Junction, during a trip in March 2026 with my sister. This season of life is one of transition. As a widow and mother of three sons?one preparing to leave for college and two close behind?I find myself standing at the intersection of pride and quiet melancholy. For nearly two decades, my purpose has been joyfully rooted in full-time motherhood. Now, as my boys begin to spread their wings,

Known as the "Korean War Hero", this nostalgic warbird takes us back to the days of yesteryear. The Vought F-4U Corsair served in both World War II (Pacific Theater) and the Korean War. It earned the nicknames "Whistling Death" and the "Bent-Wing Widow Maker". To accommodate the massive 13-foot propeller, engineers had to bend the wings down, giving this mighty aircraft its inverted "Gull Wing" design. This was the only way the landing gear could give clearance for a propeller of this size

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
